We have not used these cameras ourselves, but they appear to be near replicas of the Lightdow LD4000 cameras that we fly onboard our OLHZN flights. They are relatively inexpensive and we would expect them to provide decent video quality. We use our cameras in “Dashcam mode” so that once power is applied to the camera, it automatically starts recording. This allows us to have the camera mounted ahead of time and just turn on the power to launch. We also set the recording to be a fixed 5 minute video file to ensure if something happens to the camera, we still retain most of the footage. -
