Preparations for Next Moonwalk Simulations Underway (and Underwater) Next Generation Science Standards: Engineering Design (MS-PS4-1, MS-ETS1)

Grades 5+

In this activity, students will create an “antenna” or “receiver” out of re-used materials. After construction is complete, the students test their design by throwing “data” (in this case, ping pong balls) across the room and comparing the message to test the success of their receivers.

o A cartoon of eight white ping pong balls float about a science experiment, each holding a different black letter. Together, the floating ping pong balls spell ‘Telepong’.
